Who is responsible
Aurelia Labs LLC, 30 N Gould St #60794, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States, is responsible for the information we process. Contact us at admin@aurelialabs.io for privacy questions or requests.
Information on your device
The app stores your selected city, that city’s coordinates and time zone, language, onboarding status and Japanese calendar preferences locally. These settings and generated lunar images are shared with Moonplan’s own widgets through an iOS App Group on the same device. They are used to display the calendar, local times and widgets.
Activity searches and planning calculations are processed locally. Moonplan does not send these searches or your calendar usage to Aurelia Labs. We do not operate an app account database, advertising trackers, analytics SDKs or a remote AI service in Moonplan. The app does not request access to your device’s GPS location, contacts, photos or microphone.
City search and Apple services
When you search for a city, the text you enter is sent to Apple’s geocoding service to find coordinates and a time zone. This needs an internet connection. Apple may process the network and technical information needed to provide that service. Avoid entering a home address or other personal information when a city name is sufficient. You can skip searching and use the default city.
Apple independently operates the App Store, TestFlight, device backups and optional system diagnostics. Your use of those services and any diagnostic information you choose to share are governed by Apple’s settings and Privacy Policy. We do not receive your Apple account password. Removing the app does not itself delete information held independently by Apple.
This website
This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies, run visitor analytics or use browser storage to build a profile. Fonts, scripts and screenshots are served with the website. Language selection uses ordinary links rather than tracking cookies.
The site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel processes technical requests, including IP addresses and request metadata, to deliver and secure the site. See Vercel’s Privacy Notice. Its retention and international transfer practices apply to infrastructure data. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices.
The earlier preview address is hosted on GitHub Pages. If you visit that preview, GitHub records IP addresses for security purposes. See GitHub’s Privacy Statement.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your message, any attachments and normal email metadata. We use this information to answer your question, investigate the issue or handle your privacy request. Our email service providers process the message to deliver and store it. We do not use support messages for advertising or sell them.
Send only the information necessary for your request. We keep correspondence only for as long as needed to resolve and follow up on the request, or meet an applicable legal obligation. You can ask us to delete it; if we must retain part of it, we will explain why.
Purposes, legal grounds and sharing
Where European data protection law applies, we process information needed to answer a service request to perform a contract or take steps at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Resolving technical issues, protecting our services and managing correspondence may rely on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)); compliance with legal duties relies on Article 6(1)(c). If a feature requires consent, we will ask separately and allow you to withdraw it.
We share information only as needed with providers who help deliver the relevant service, or where a valid legal obligation requires it. We require service providers acting on our behalf to protect personal information and use it only for the agreed purpose. Apple and Vercel also describe their processing in their respective privacy policies. Aurelia Labs is based in the United States; email and infrastructure providers may process information in other countries. Where required, transfers must use applicable safeguards such as approved contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your request.
Retention and deletion
Local preferences remain until you change them or remove the app’s data. To remove local Moonplan data, delete the app rather than offloading it, and remove its widgets. iOS backups, if enabled on your device, are managed through your Apple settings and may retain a separate copy. We cannot remotely read or erase data stored only on your device.
You do not need to request account deletion because Moonplan has no user accounts. For support correspondence held by us, contact admin@aurelialabs.io. For information held independently by Apple or Vercel, use the controls or contact details in their respective privacy policies.
Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of personal information we hold about you, and object to certain processing. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it, without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need enough information to verify that a request is yours. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
You may also complain to a competent data protection authority. These rights do not require you to create an account. Because we cannot identify local app use, we may have no app usage records to provide.
Children and policy updates
Moonplan is a general audience calendar and does not ask children to create accounts or provide personal details. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us through support, contact us so we can address the request and delete information where required.
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law. Adding a feature that needs consent will not be treated as permission granted by merely updating this policy.
